Uber drivers have won employment rights in Aotearoa!

On 25 October 2022, the Employment Court issued a declaration that Uber drivers are employees, not independent contractors.

FIRST Union is now supporting Uber drivers to unionise and claim backpay from Uber for lost wages and holidays.

A strong union will also help Uber drivers enforce their rights under the law into the future.
